This album is my first full-length release under the name Sleepless Calls. I was inspired by the world of Le Labo du Blob (created by Mylène, my partner), a cabinet of curiosities dedicated to the discovery of living things and the oddities of nature, including the famous blob (slime mold) that gives it its name.

After helping Mylène to make this universe tangible through images, I finally accomplished a long-standing project: to offer its own music, over 30 minutes of original score. Soundtrack From Le Labo Du Blob, initially intended as a background for an audio drama, has become the musical landscape to a whole universe of secret experiments, surprising discoveries, sleepless nights of research, strange devices and adventures on the frontiers of reality.

Cet album est ma première sortie longue durée sous l’alias Sleepless Calls. Je me suis laissé inspirer par l'univers du Labo du Blob (créé par Mylène, ma compagne), un univers de cabinet de curiosité dédié à la découverte du vivant et des étrangetés de la nature, dont le fameux blob qui lui donne son nom.

Après avoir aidé Mylène à rendre cet univers concret par l’image, j’accomplis enfin un projet de longue date : lui offrir sa propre musique, plus de 30 minutes de compositions originales. D’abord envisagé comme l’habillage d’une fiction audio, Soundtrack From Le Labo Du Blob est devenu la bande son de tout un univers d’expériences secrètes, de découvertes surprenantes, de nuits blanches de recherches, d’appareils improbables et d’aventures aux frontières de la réalité.
